It's a great way to add deep flavor, aroma, and texture to your Filipino dishes. Here are my tips on how to toast garlic below.<\/p>\n\n\n<div id=\"callout-block_f08822b03cceb439b3eebcb48220ca8a\" class=\"oc-gutenberg-block oc-recipe-tip-block callout__default\">\n\n\t<span class=\"callout--icon__default\"><span class=\"block-icon-tip\"><\/span><\/span>\n\n\t<div class=\"callout--content__default\">\n\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"callout--title__default\">\n\n\t\t\t\tCooking tips\n\t\t\t<\/h2>\n\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"callout--text__default\">\n\n\t\t\t\t<ul id=\"block-4827e344-4e16-4c63-acb7-db1382050dc8\" class=\"block-editor-rich-text__editable block-editor-block-list__block wp-block is-selected rich-text\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"group\" contenteditable=\"true\" aria-multiline=\"true\" aria-label=\"Block: List\" data-block=\"4827e344-4e16-4c63-acb7-db1382050dc8\" data-type=\"core\/list\" data-title=\"List\">\n<li><strong>Use a food processor.\u00a0<\/strong> It's a time-saving way to mince the garlic, especially if cooking in bulk.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Add the garlic in warm oil (NOT hot)<\/strong>.\u00a0 Garlic burns fast, and if you add it to already hot oil, the outside will brown before the inside sufficiently crisps.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cook low and slow<\/strong>. If you rush and cook it in high heat, the garlic will easily burn and taste bitter.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Use enough oil. <\/strong>This will\u00a0allow the garlic pieces to swim freely in the pan and ensure even browning.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Move the pan around<\/strong>. When you add the garlic to the pan, do not stir immediately as the garlic tends to stick together. Instead, carefully move the pan around, tilting and swirling, until garlic bits are scattered evenly.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Remove from heat once lightly brown<\/strong>. Once the oil starts bubbling and the garlic is lightly golden, turn off the heat. The residual heat will continue cooking the garlic to that golden-brown perfection!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Drain completely<\/strong>. spread out the toasted garlic bits on the paper towel.
